Game 5: Walker vs. Lynch
This time Montreal's "opener" strategy really back-fired. Lefty Daniel Lynch is hit
hard for 6 earned while recording only 1 out. Lefty Ryan Yarbrough comes in to pour
gas on the fire, and is also hit hard. The Athletics scored an incredible 11 (ELEVEN!)
runs in the first inning! That should be plenty of runs to win it, right? Well, the
Expos' bats got going again, but that only resulted in somewhat raising Scott's blood
pressure. The A's did in fact hold on to win 13-9. Expos lead 3-2.
