The teams returned to Milwaukee for game 6 as Woodruff hoped to atone for his prior
performance and Price looked to finish things once and for all. It just wasn't happening
for Woodruff on this night either though, as a Springer HR in the 1st gave the Brewers
the lead and then alternating hits and Ks brought Aledmys Diaz to the plate with 2 out
and 2 on. Diaz seemed to get whatever he was looking for and drove it deep into the seats
in left, sending Bernie and the fans into a frenzy and raising his arm in the air as he
jogged the bases with a big smile. The Indians started to get to Price in the 3rd, with
three doubles (Realmuto, Correa, Kepler, most of the usual characters/villains haha)
producing a couple of runs. Springer led off the 3rd with his third hit and third HR of
the series and Woodruff was out of the game. The teams traded sac flies in the 4th to keep
the gap at 3 runs and Price left after 6. The Brewers scratched out another run in the 7th
on a clumsy rally that doesn't look like much but felt at the time like it could have been
more. But the Milwaukee didn't need it anyway as the Indians just couldn't solve them over
the last two innings. A two out walk in the 9th forced Brent Suter from the game but Gott
was up to the task, getting a groundball from Realmuto that Dozier flipped to Diaz at 2nd
to set off the celebration! The Brewers are your 2021 CFA World Series champions!

MIL wins the series 4-2
I went with co-MVPs this time. Aledmys Diaz did the most damage overall (.400/.500/.900BA/
OBP/SLG for the series) and made multiple key defensive plays but Gio Urshela was almost as
good (.381/.458/.810) and was in the middle of almost every big moment. That's how you win
a series when your 1-2-3-4 batters hit .157 and slug just .270.
The bullpen was also mostly excellent, it's tough to work them into the stories because
“Greene threw a scoreless inning” isn't usually needed for the narrative but my top guys got
a lot of important outs back there. Stanton was just 2 for 24 with no XBHs, it looks like
whatever elixir he drank had an expiration date (hahaha).
On the Indians it was Max Kepler who did the most damage even though he'll probably think
about that Belt double all offseason. J.P. Realmuto hit .458 and had multriple key hits for
Cleveland and Acuna hit 4HRs but was actually somewhat quiet when he wasn't leading off the
game.
Thanks to Dave for a really fun and challenging series and congratulations are definitely due
to him for an incredible season as well, this was a very difficult team to deal with and a
few different breaks could have really changed the result. But the result is still the result,
