Game 4 opened with a bang, as Kenny Lofton lead off the top of the
first with a jack to right off of Curt Schilling (who was wearing a
bloody sock, shirt, AND hat - amazing!). Cleveland got to Phil Hughes
in the 3rd, notching 3 runs on homers by Ryan Garko and Jarrod
Saltierutaksdfgkjskl;dfg (still waiting for that nickname!). With two
outs and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Houston was very close to turning the
game over to Cy Young candidate Shaun Marcum. Hughes worked out of it
and settled down quite well, getting some help in the 5th when Kent
was thrown out at home on a Fielder double. Schilling cruised through
6, but was on a short leash in the 7th. A leadoff single by Rios
chased Schilling from the game, and a Kent error and a single later,
Gobble again entered in a big spot: runners on the corners, 1 out, 3-2
Cleveland lead. O-Dog immediately silenced the crowd with a 3-run
bomb, and Houston had a 5-3 lead. Fultz and Vinnie Chulk held the
Tribe in check in the 8th, and Springer recorded ANOTHER one-out save
in the 9th, securing the win and a 3-1 series lead for the Astros.
