Lilly (NYM) vs Jurrgens (SF)
The Giants bat around in the 1st and continue the carnage in the 2nd to chase Lilly
after 1.2 innings. The Mets long men also do not have the answer as the Giants jump
out to an 8-1 lead after four innings. Kemp was 2 for 4 with a home run off Lilly,
who clearly wanted to avoid him at all costs. Veterans A Rod, Magglio Ordonez, and
David Wright all with three hits apiece. The Mets claw back to within three runs
before Balfour/Bell/Santos/Kimbrel shut the door. Giants win 8-5.
